Silpa - iPass student of the month
Silpa joined iPass in February this year, having already taken the Academic IELTS text 6 times! She needed a minimum of band 7 in each module for NMC registration in order to work as a nurse in the UK. Silpa was very frustrated by her previous results because she had scored 7 in each module but unfortunately not in the same test. In fact she had scored 8.5 in Reading and Listening and as high as 7.5 in Speaking but it was proving difficult to get 7 in Writing.
With only one week before her next test, Silpa enrolled on our IELTS writing course but unfortunately with such little preparation time she still only secured a 6.5 in Writing. Then Silpa enrolled on the Writing Plus course and took another test in April, this time with much more time for careful preparation. And it paid off!! Silpa finally got the results she needed with 8.5 in Reading and Listening, 7 in Writing and 8.5 in Speaking (overall band 8).
We were so pleased for Silpa because she refused to give up and worked very hard to get the results she needed to work as a nurse in England. We wish her well in her new job!!
