Cinema Attendance - band 7

The diagram illustrates the percentage of people visiting the cinema once a month over a ten-year period between 1984 and 2003 respectively, according to their ages,15-24,7-14,25-34, 35 years and over.

It can be seen that the most popular age group attending was the 15-24, starting off at about 20 percent in 1984, the number rose gradually until 1992 where there was a sharp fluctuating trend, moreover the attendance reached a peak of nearly 60 percent in year 2000.

However, the age groups 7-14 and 25-34 have a similar gradual upward trend occurring at same time, with 10 percent (7-14) and 5 percent (25-34) in 1984, both age groups increased to 40 percent and 35 percent in 2003. The least popular being the age group 35 years and over with 2 percent in 1984 hitting 20 percent in 2003.

Overall, there has been an upward trend in all the age groups, in addition, a 30 percent increase in the percentage of people, ages 7-14 and 25-34.

A good report which identified the key features and presented a clear overview. Vocabulary shows a high range, but keep extending your variety of expression to gain extra marks.
